Did I leave Maryb off my list last night? I think I did, sob. Happy New Year Maryb!
Morning, all. Kb, I so disliked House that I can hardly believe I'm now hooked on it. But I'm glad. There's so little I like to watch these days that I'm glad of a new tv habit.
How dare the library close today? What? Librarians deserve days off? Hmmph. But, but, it's all about meeeee. . . .
Good morning, all. Hope you had a lovely Hogmanay and that the new year is good to you. Laura and I rang in our twentieth new year together last night, hooray.
Bebo--the queen of relaxation. I'm feeling the need for a nap.
Atticus has the recliner. Kipling has one end of the couch with kitty Agatha, she who must be obeyed, on the other end. Toby cat and I are the only ones awake. Hubby took a trailer and van load of furniture/stuff to sonboy who's moving into a townhome/apartment. Passenger seat filled with vacumn and other treasures. Darn I had to stay home.
Lovely lazy day, it's a Bank Holiday here. Glad you've come round to liking House, Nancy. You just have to accept the formula:weird symptom, remedy, oops, panic, near death, miracle cure! But it's truly weird to us watching Hugh Laurie being a tv superstar, brilliant as he is; specially when, as last night, you watch him playing an idiot in Blackadder!
Let's hope it's a good year or at least, that it's better than the doom merchants predict!
Didn't freeze to death last night, but it was close. Minus ten wind chill in downtown Boston - my BIL held my hand so I wouldn't blow away. Had a fun evening, but WAY too cold!
Now visiting a friend, who's napping while I watch football. And stay inside, because today it's minus TWENTY.
Happy New Year, everyone - hope you had a good evening, whatever you did, and are ready to start fresh again today - and tomorrow - and the day after. (Me, I'll be back in FL on Sunday, and getting back to life as usual.)
Somewhat disgusted from having to deal with cattle that don't want to stay out of a hay barn, combined with cow dogs that were thoroughly unhelpful (I'd chase the walking burgers out, and the $#%@#!! dogs would chase 'em right back in).
I may have to resolve to eat more beef this year. :-P

And a most Happy Hogmanay to you, too, Kelly!
My New Years resolution is to start watching House again. I've been embarrassingly lax about it.
Oh, and Happy New Year!!!
Nancy, I love this blog and all our Sweetly Mysterious Friends!
Happy New Year, all y'all! ;)
A very happy and marvelous 2009 to all! I'm up early and writing on Blood Kin - the muse struck and shall not be silenced.
(Of course, I was a total wimp last night and went to bed early).
Happy New Year Nancy, kb, Jen, Maria, and all the other folks!
Is it Jan 20th yet?
You mean there are people that stay up until Midnight?
Fireworks woke the dogs and me so the moment didn't go unnoticed.
Great 2009 to all.

Thanks to all of you for being you!
1,200 words yesterday, 1,500 today. Starting to feel like the book is moving again. Hooray.
Happy New Year Nancy! Wishing you and your family all the best in the coming year. :-)
Thanks, O, and the same to you and yours. :) I'm eager for 2009 photos!
Yeah, Kelly, them's good words.
Nicky, lol, that formula is exactly right, and one of the main reasons I couldn't stand the show at first. But I am infected now!
Bethie, too cold!
Gosh darn it, Lisa, they threw you into that briar patch, didn't they, hee.
Andi, Jen, Maria, kb, a late howdy. Great photo.
Hey all! I brought bread…
