I'm picking up mystery writer Diane Mott Davidson at the airport today and driving her to The Little Apple--Manhattan, Kansas--where she will be the Guest of Honor at the 4th Annual Great Manhattan Mystery Conclave. I wish I were seeing you guys there! I'll be back in time to post on Monday.

Before I leave. . .I just got word that "Virgin" has won the Macavity Award for Best Novel from Mystery Readers International! It was awarded last night at the Big Daddy mystery convention, Bouchercon, which is going on in Anchorage, Alaska this weekend. I wish I could have been there to say thank you! Virgin is also a finalist for the Anthony Award that will be announced tomorrow night.
I apologize for the boasting, but I'm so happy about this. It's so nice to be recognized by actual readers!

OK it's early Sunday morning, and I'm feeling nervous and shaky. I look around the house for what can be making me feel this way and find nothing. I finally realize.....I need a Nancy fix. Will I be able to hold out until she gets back Monday. I don't know. :D
