That one ice hat looks to me like a baby duck.

See you ducklings in the morning.

12:16… that's pretty early morning, huh?

DD's concert went nicely, except I thought the brass section sounded a bit muddy and maybe a tad flat. The good part was that DD looked better today than she has in quite a while. Looking forward to having her home next week & getting a little R&R.

Coffee started? check Cinnamon rolls out? check Fire going good? check OK, off to sleep. If my socks start smoldering, just move my feet a little…

Morning Nancy and FAR.

I finally got to sleep at my normal time and then wake up after midnight. Very frustrating sometimes.

FAR I'm glad to hear that DD's concert went nicely, and that she looked so good. I think I detect a beaming proud Pop there somewhere. :)

I hope everyone has a good day today, and a good w/e coming up.

Morning all.

Sorry about your lack of sleep FM. I just saw you over at the BT cafe, so I know it didn't get any better. :(

Maybe it would help if you joined Bebo and Giddy at the woodstove, making very sure that every inch gets warm. [LINK]

That might do the trick Andi. They certainly look comfortable.

Morning Andi--I see the dogs read as well with their book right by the comfy beds.

FM--I'm sorry my insomnia traveled your way.

Farf--Ymmm Coffee and Cinnamon rolls.
Stokes the fire and tip toes to get ready for work.
Sleep a little longer.

Fabulous Friday to All.

Edited because I almost sent "off to the mimes!"

Janet, do you think Marcel Marceau is STILL trying to get out of the box?

I keep picturing it. Speaking of coffins, you kind of have to wonder what makeup he wore to his funeral.

Ghost, I figured Marcel gave his own eulogy at his funeral.

Anyone remember "Silent Movie"?

Morning, all! It's off to the mimes for me today...because talking makes me cough. Wonder if I can get through the work day without saying a word? ::g::

Hope everyone has a fabulous Friday!

Guess you sent me your sleep, FM. Got 8 hours last night for the first time in months. Hope you have a couple of naps planned for today.

Silent Movie - Mel Brooks, right? Haven't seen it since it came out. Glad the concert went well, and DD is doing good.

Hope everyone has a stellar Friday. We're feeding horses and continuing to catch up today. And I'm enjoying being a passenger in a car instead of the driver!

Echoing wishes for a great weekend -

LMAO, Far. R.I.P. is one of his best routines.

Maria, the next time I anser the phone and anyone doesn't speak, I'm going to say "Marcel?"

I wonder if you can phone call the School of Mimes?

Beth, I always feel better somehow when you're in one place for an entire weekend. :-) TGIF, all.

Thanks, Ghostie. Hopefully soon I'll be in one place for long stretches - once I figure out where that one place is! For now, it's enough to hitchhike on my friend's normal life for a few days...

Stay warm up in dem dere mountains, Ghost!

Far, does DD looking better mean that she's feeling happy, and that does mean she's liking college?

FM, you'd better take Andi up on that offer of Bebo/Giddy/Woodstove. If you sneaked in and covered up with a brown blanket, she and Jim might just think you're another dog. "Good Dog!" they'd exclaim when they realized the truth, "It's Family Man!"

I'm loving the mime talk, Beth, Far, Ghost, Maria. None of us will ever again be able to say, "off to the mines." Lisa, good luck at the mimes today.

Hey Nancy… DD is starting to get over her mono, I think. She's still sleeping a *lot* but looked pretty energetic last night. We went & chowed down afterwards… everything but Waffle House closed at 10 so that's where we ended up. She likes college fine, it's just been a real bear what with that heavy-load first semester & being sick on top of it. The upside is that a *lot* of people got it, so the profs are making allowances.

Beth, yup that was Mel Brooks. Marcel has the only speaking line in the entire movie.

Ghost, I'll have to steal that idea. "Hello… silence… Marcel? 'zat you?"

Nancy P said...

I forgot about the mono, Far. Duh, of course she looks better, if she's getting over that. I had it, meself, in my freshman year. Not fun.

Lurking.

I LOVE this ice-grass picture.

FaR glad to hear the mono isn't keeing DD too down. That's really tough when you start college.

Well ... off to the mimes ;)

ROFL of course!!! I love Mel Brooks.

Glad my typos can make you guys happy.

I had a whoopah of a typo once in a hockey chatroom. I was talking about baking cookies for a pleasure party and they were in a certain shape so it part Fruedian Slip and part typo. You can never live down "COCKIE dough". ;)

Just got back from getting my boobs smooshed, smashed, bruised and radiated. Did the blood work to rule out cervical cancer and all looks pretty damn good. Whoot!

My San Jose Sharks are NUMBER ONE IN THE FREAKING LEAGUE and nailing records so I am glowing.

I'm EATING now!!! Sucks to fast for no political reason. :)

PS: Ice grass kinda reminds me of hockey spit.

Ice grass. Hmm, we may have some of that. No snow here yet, but it sure is cold enough. Current temp = 25. That'll probably be today's high. Soak up enough sun and warmth for all of us, Beth. Glad your daughter's doing well, Farf. Hockey spit. Ewww! Good luck with getting some sleep, FM. I have bouts of insomnia as well. Makes for a grouchy day at work when that happens. ;-)

Looking forward to the weekend. Ahh.

Hi all. Far, I hope that DD is feeling better.

I really like that photo.

Janet, that kind of good news is worth the sore boobs, no? Getting good news from the doc does blunt the indignities of certain types of exams…

Yeah, Nancy, DD's roomie & many of her friends have it too. It was a near-epidemic. I'm just glad she's getting over it and wrapping up her first semester (finals week is tomorrow).

Thanks all for the well-wishes. Later!

(Delurks) Janet, congrats on the good news! That's fabulous. (relurks)
