Writer Cat Falls Across Finish Line

Thanks for all the congrats, guys! It helped all summer to know you were cheering me on. And to know that I REALLY didn't want to have to tell you I had not made this latest deadline!

I made it with, oh, hours to spare.

Scratches tummy. Leaves small ball of yarn for when you wake up.

Nancy--Pamper self.

It was a good Monday. Gustav wasn't as destructive as feared. My cousin had been sent to Houston with patients from her New Orleans Baptist Hospital. Her sons rode it out in Miss. with relatives. Hope all is well with any other friends and family.

Andi, I am amazed at the wonderful closeup pictures. I've never had very good luck with using that feature. Probably just need to practice with it more. Do you have books or websites for help or did you take a class?

Terrific Tuesday to all.

YAY NANCY!!

That's such a sweet feeling.

BTW, from a couple of days back on characters suddenly inviting themselves into your book or seizing bigger parts without your permission. I've had that happen a couple of times, most notably with the Tisiphone/Ravirn romance, the beginning of which pretty much wrote itself into Cybermancy without my planning any of it.

Larry Kollar said...

Kelly, I've had that happen to me — characters just seem to suddenly do stuff I wasn't anticipating. For example, in FAR Future, I didn't see parts of the story coming from Rene's POV, or that his little sister was a genius. Sometimes it's frustrating, but it's always kind of cool.

(tosses catnip around) HOORAY Nancy!

First Day Back to School Morning was chaotic. The bus drove right by Wes resulting in a fuhreak out. (how the driver didn't see a 6ft tall kid running down the street with me chasing after him - I don't know. But she came back a few minutes later because another autistic student was "insisting" she turn back and pick up Wes.

What a morning... concerned as the morning really sets up the rest of his day. ACK
