I lurve my editor. We both agree the ending sucks, but as for the rest of it, it's a book. Hooray and whew. I'll get her email editorial letter Wed. or Thurs., then we'll talk by phone, and then I'll get to work. I haven't even looked at it since I sent it to her on Sept. 1! Her timing is perfect, because I'm finally ready to face it again.

I've really enjoyed this long period of waiting. Honestly, i didn't want it to end any sooner.

Well, of course she does. I had faith in her. And you.

Is that good grammar? "I can't wait to read it either?" Heck, I have no clue. Too much vacation - or chardonnay.... :-)

Happy Wednesday, all!

Cool beans, Nancy!

And this news makes this Wednesday Book Hump Day. (Hmmm, humping a book ... sounds a little painful.)

Morning all.

Big congrats Nancy!

Hooooray for Nancy. What a brilliant editor you have recognizing your writing prowess.
And I watched part of that writing process while we were in KY. Neato.

Andi--You crack me up.--book humping is never mentioned around my school.

Waves to Dina, Beth, MaryB, Janet and Jen. And all to come.

Warm banana bread and Cuban coffee anyone?

Wonderful Weds. to All.

w00t!!! ::twirls Nancy::

Lisa, I'm snuggling up for the banana bread and Cuban coffee. Yum.

Morning, all!

Wish I could just hump a few books instead of going to work. ::g::

Yay Nancy! Go fix that ending so we have some new material!

I had to be an editor at work recently. We outsourced a project, and I think one of the primary writers was in Hong Kong. She may have burned out, because after she dropped the same fix three times they moved the project to the west coast. I really need to make some time to write up a style guide… when you're the only writer in the group, you can keep it all in your head, but if we do this again (and we will) we'll all be happier with an organized brain-dump.

Andi & Lisa… depends on what kind of book it is.

oooo. I don't want to steal Maria's thunder, but she just put up a link to Ancient Rome in 3D on Twitter. Must go see!

Morning, friends, and many thanks for your well wishes! ::takes Cuban coffee, saves b. bread for later::

No thunder stolen, Far. You must be more caffeinated than I am. ::g::

Must off to the daily grind!

But do all check out the Ancient Rome in 3D, it's nifty.

Maria, I got an Amazon email yesterday. Since you ordered a book by Maria Lima you might like...
You have great power lady.
My night stand stack is growing.
I got Nancy's short story read, am in the first third of Death by Cashmere, so Maria your book is on the tarmac waiting to take off.
This having writing cyberfriends is fascinating. Saving up my dimes and nickles to get the Ghost Cats book next. I'm a reincarnated cat so might find some friends.

3 days until Blood Bargain's on the shelf, right Maria?

(commences Snoopy happy dance) Hot dog! I'm also in line for the new book.

Yum, Cuban coffee and banana bread. I like how you celebrate, Lisa.

I'm off in the corner selecting a poem for tomorrow. I won't be able to read it to you since I lost my voice with this latest bug, but I'll leave a copy for someone else to read at the poetry jam. ;-)

Have a good evening, all.

Far, so I understand - 3 days and my book will be on shelves, but since I don't have a specific hard lay-down date, it's up to individual bookstores.

I'd love to know if any of you all spot it, though!

B&N said Nov. 15, so I just assumed that was "the" date. When my order comes in, I'll let y'all know.

Very productive lunch writing session today… enough material for a FAR Future episode, but I'll have to shuffle it in front of the one I knocked out last night. There might be another one… nothing world-shaking, just mini-adventures during a week in June 2023.
