This is one of my favorites of Andif's photographs.

Sorry to be so absent, but I'm also not sorry, because it means the writing is HOT. I'm at that place where I read a page I've written and I suddenly know exactly what it needs, and when I go to the next page, every page before feels finished.

I have tons of work still to do.

Y'all carry on. Be well.

What they all said! I know that feeling, and it's a good feeling to have. Makes me wonder what triggers those creative bursts, and how we could get more of them.

I can't say it any better than anyone else -- but, I'm here to wave.

Good Morning Nancy and Everyone!

So nice to hear about hot writing - what everyone has said.

Wonderful Refuge. Andi, this is just great.

Yay Nancy! Enjoy the ride!

::drags herself back to the stack of empty boxes in the garage::

Have a great day, everyone. I'll be lurking from a distance, wishing I was lounging in andi's refuge instead.

Okay Nancy--
I'm stepping in behind and slightly above to catch a bit of your upwash like those geese in V formation. I better fasten my seatbelt though, sounds like you're smokin'!!!

A great day to all.
Beth I'll send some packing energy your way.
Trying to think cool thoughts here with another 100 day ahead.

How exciting, Nancy. Looking forward to the next book; just finished The Virgin of Small Plains and really didn't spot whodunit till almost the end!

Not at the HOT stage, writing-wise, but my agent has just emailed that she likes what I've sent her of my next Victorian mystery, which is a relief. Only done three chapters but better than nothing and I can bash away now feeling encouraged.

And, for once, I'm not moaning about the weather here in the south of England, it hit a high yesterday and was lovely.

Hi all!

Potential writing money fell out of the sky this weekend, but it requires work to pick it up, so I'll be a very vague presence for at least another couple of days.

Hugs for Jen and Janet both.

Andi, fabulous picture.

Nancy, hope the streak runs right through to the end of the book.

Smiles and waves for everybody else.

Nancy, I'm glad that the writing is "hot". It's rather hot here, but a different kind of heat. ;-)

Well I had an interesting encounter this morning before even finishing my coffee. All in the name of being a good parent. I suppose that I should do a blog post.
